How It Will Work
First off, make sure you have signed up for the game with the link over on there on the right side of this page. You can’t win if you don’t sign up.
The game will start at noon of the designated date. At that time, the @LDG Twitter account will send out the first clues of the day. These will lead you to the first location of the game.
After you arrive at the first location, you will either find another clue or a task you need to complete before getting your next clue. Tasks must be completed before moving on to the next location.
You can also save yourself some frustration by using Twitter’s direct message function. If you direct message @LDG at the beginning of your task, the longest you’ll need to spend on that task is 30 minutes. If you can’t solve the puzzle or complete the activity, you will be given the answer or a pass at the end of 30 minutes and be allowed to continue on to the next part of the game. Direct messaging instructions will be provided on the actual clue or task sheets.
Wash, rinse, and repeat until you arrive at the final location where I will be waiting for you. You have finished the game after you have given me a high five and shown me the proof of your completed tasks. In the event of a simultaneous high five, the players will battle it out in a best 2 of 3 rock paper scissors death battle.
There will be more than one prize pack available at the end of the race. The order of game completion will determine the order in which players get to pick which prize pack they want.
Then hang out and meet everyone who played in the game! Have a good time! It’s Saturday!
Also, make sure to stop by the businesses that sponsored the game to show your support. They have been very generous in supporting Least Dangerous Game.
Things You Will Need
- Camera (camera phone is fine)
- Method of transportation
- Way to receive and send Twitter messages
Common Sense
- Complete the tasks! Not only will you need to complete tasks and solve puzzles along the way, you will need to prove that you did so. Without proper proof at the end of the game, you can not win a prize. Be sure to follow the instructions at each location and you’ll be fine.
- Obey the law! On multi-leg games, a car may be needed to get from one place to another. We don’t want anyone getting tickets or into accidents. Also, breaking and entering is a bad idea. And kidnapping. And transporting or selling narcotics. Obey the law!
- Don’t tamper with clues! There will be tasks and clues to complete throughout the game. It is no fun if anyone sabotages other players. This is, primarily, a social game. Be kind to others. Which is a nice way to say not to be a jerk.
Rules are being finalized. Please check back for more information!
